Featured Case Study

Wardarnji Festival 14 years & counting.

Karla’s biggest annual production. The biggest Noongar corroboree in Perth — over 100 dancers each year, 60% of them children and young adults — performing on Whadjuk country at Fremantle Esplanade.

Wardarnji has grown from a single arts & crafts stall into a full Indigenous business marketplace, drawing record crowds every year. It has opened the Fremantle Festival, featured Mayor Brad Pettitt delivering a Noongar-language address, and now includes contemporary fusion and a youth-led storytelling section with original puppet work.
