Karla Hart Productions is the studio of multi-award-winning Noongar filmmaker and event creator Karla Hart — built on 140+ episodes of television, twelve years of running Australia’s biggest Noongar corroboree, and a refusal to tell anyone’s story but our own.

Karla Hart, CitWA

Noongar woman. Filmmaker. Cultural leader.

Karla Hart is a multi-award-winning filmmaker, actor, broadcaster and event creator whose work places Noongar story at the centre of Australian screens and stages. A proud Noongar woman raised on Goreng country, she trained at WAAPA and Edith Cowan University, and now runs Karla Hart Productions out of Perth.

Her credits span 140+ episodes of television, three feature dramas in development, the Wardarnji Festival, and a decades-long practice of cultural mentorship. She employs more than 100 Aboriginal people each year — performers, runners, mentors, and cultural leaders — across every project she touches.
